What I help with

Here's what we can look at together.

Medicare

Medicare has a lot of moving parts: Parts A and B, Advantage plans, supplements, drug coverage, and the dates you can change them. I walk you through how each one would work for you.

Bring your list of doctors and prescriptions. We check them against the plans I can offer in your area before you choose anything.

We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE (TTY 711), 24 hours a day/7 days a week, or your local State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) to get information on all of your options.

Not affiliated with or endorsed by the government or the federal Medicare program.

Life insurance

We start with what the policy has to pay for: a mortgage, income for a few years, college, final costs. That number decides how much coverage makes sense and for how long.

Then we compare term and permanent policies side by side, with the monthly cost of each.

Annuities

An annuity is a contract with an insurance company. You give it a sum of money and it pays you back over time, often as monthly income.

There are several kinds, and the fees, surrender periods and payout options differ a lot between them. I explain each one in plain terms before you decide.

Final expense

Final expense insurance is a small whole life policy meant to cover a funeral and the bills that come after, so your family is not left paying them.

Many policies ask a few health questions instead of requiring an exam.
